he was evaluated by a neurosurgeon.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Over the next three days, doctors determined that the subdural hematoma was not big enough to operate on.<span>\u00a0<\/span>Nuss was discharged from the hospital on Sept. 8, 2006.<span>\u00a0<\/span>The doctors planned to monitor his condition as an outpatient.<span>\u00a0<\/span>The monitoring was overseen by the defendant Dr. Cheryl Woodson, the patient\u2019s primary care physician.Dr. Woodson instructed Nuss to return as an outpatient to undergo a CT scan at St. James Hospital for comparison.<span>\u00a0<\/span>Nuss followed up as directed and saw Dr. Woodson on September 12 and underwent the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/X-ray_computed_tomography\">CT scan<\/a> on September 13.\u00a0The scans were interpreted by radiologist, Dr. Green.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The doctors concluded that Nuss\u2019s condition was stable and his next follow-up visit was planned with the neurosurgeon five days ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robertkreisman.com\/medical-malpractice-lawyer\/cook-county-verdict-for-physicians-in-death-related-to-improper-care-for-subdural-hematoma\/#more-1000\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Neal Nuss, age 73, was transported to St. James Hospital in Blue Island, Ill., on Sept. 5, 2006 following an auto accident.\u00a0Nuss was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with subdural hematoma;
