They sued the truck driver and the two companies that contracted with him. The Kolchinskys filed in federal court based on diversity of citizenship. Illinois law controlled.<\/p>\n<p>The district court entered partial summary judgment in favor of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wdtmilk.com\/\">Western Dairy Transport LLC<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wdlogisticssolutions.com\/\">WD Logistics LLC,<\/a> concluding that the driver was an independent contractor.
