His car collided with her motorcycle, causing her injuries.\u00a0 Wyler, who was an intensive care nurse at the University of Chicago Hospital, suffered a fractured right ankle and multiple fractures in her right foot, which required open reduction <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internal_fixation\">internal fixation surgery.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Wyler also developed post-traumatic arthritis and will require a future <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthguideinfo.com\/arthritis-surgery-treatments\/p46887\/\">triple fusion procedure<\/a>.
