{"id":3504,"date":"2014-04-28T10:00:54","date_gmt":"2014-04-28T15:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/injury.robertkreisman.com\/?p=3504"},"modified":"2019-10-17T10:52:56","modified_gmt":"2019-10-17T10:52:56","slug":"multi-vehicle-chain-reaction-collisions-lead-tunnel-fire-multiple-deaths-injuries-motorists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.robertkreisman.com\/injury-lawyer\/multi-vehicle-chain-reaction-collisions-lead-tunnel-fire-multiple-deaths-injuries-motorists\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-Vehicle Chain Reaction Collisions Lead to Tunnel Fire, Multiple Deaths and Injuries to Motorists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A speeding truck leaving the Newhall Tunnel in Southern California apparently lost control, crashed into the center divider and came to a stop some 1,700 feet outside of the tunnel exit.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>As other motor vehicles were leaving the tunnel, they braked and slowed down to avoid the crashed truck.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>A series of chain-reaction collisions followed.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>A fire broke out from one of the crashes and spread through the tunnel and to other stalled vehicles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">One of the individuals involved in this tragic crash was <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.latimes.com\/2010\/jun\/18\/local\/la-me-tobar-20100618\">Ricardo Cibrian<\/a>, a trucker who was trapped inside his truck in the tunnel and unfortunately died in the fire that reached his tractor.
