The left front end struck the driver\u2019s side of Nomat\u2019s vehicle in the intersection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Nomat, 47, suffered multiple <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spinal_disc_herniation\">disc herniations<\/a> that required fusion surgery, cervical disc protrusion and herniations and a right ankle sprain.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Nomat incurred $913,793 in medical expenses. He also had over a $1 million in lost income as a butcher because of his injuries.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The defendants argued that Nomat was not injured to the extent that he claimed.
