{"id":3192,"date":"2014-02-26T10:10:47","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T16:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/injury.robertkreisman.com\/?p=3192"},"modified":"2016-07-11T15:29:10","modified_gmt":"2016-07-11T15:29:10","slug":"2200000-jury-verdict-insurance-brokers-chose-obtain-adequate-insurance-coverage-company-purchasers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.robertkreisman.com\/injury-lawyer\/2200000-jury-verdict-insurance-brokers-chose-obtain-adequate-insurance-coverage-company-purchasers\/","title":{"rendered":"$2,200,000 Jury Verdict Against Insurance Brokers Who Chose Not to Obtain Adequate Insurance Coverage for Company Purchasers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p><!--[if gte mso 10]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In December 2007, the plaintiffs, Brothers Future Holding LLC and <a href=\"http:\/\/businessprofiles.com\/details\/custom-gourmet-concepts-llc\/IL-02314452\">Custom Gourmet Concepts LLC <\/a>purchased a vacant meat packing plant located at 2684 N. 900 East Road in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ashkum.net\/\">Ashkum, Ill<\/a>.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>The plaintiffs planned to use the property to start up a new custom contracting cooking company.<span>\u00a0<\/span>The plaintiffs hired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.assuranceagency.com\/\">Assurance Agency<\/a>, which was an insurance brokerage firm to procure insurance for any loss or damage to the property, and the brokers were to obtain a policy through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.free-insurance-quotes.us\/GSEARCH\/ueid\/glsr_68152b8d6dd400a8_G_A1_EX\/?seed=indiana%20insurance%20company&amp;t=indiana%20insurance%20company#formPage_1\">Indiana Insurance Co.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Between Nov. 27, 2009 and Dec. 7, 2009, the real property was severely damaged by vandals and thieves who broke into the premises, cut and removed copper pipes, stripped copper from all of the electrical wiring and refrigeration systems and stole other fixtures and equipment for a total property loss of $2,272,168.<span>\u00a0<\/span>However, the defendants &#8212;
