Environomics Communications, Inc., et al."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The plaintiff, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davincigraphics.com\/directions.php\">DaVinci Graphics<\/a>, entered into a purchase agreement in 2009 to buy the <a href=\"http:\/\/smlgnews.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/brownfield-news-magazine.html\">Brownfield News magazine<\/a> for $425,000.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>The sellers were the defendants in this case.<span>\u00a0<\/span>As part of the deal, DaVinci paid $100,000 up front with the remainder of the purchase price to be paid in installments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">After DaVinci took control of the magazine and started publication, DaVinci personnel came to believe that the magazine\u2019s financials were not consistent with the representations made by the defendant sellers in the sales agreement.<span>\u00a0<\/span>This revelation was discovered before the first installment payment was due.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pursuant to the contract, in the event of a dispute, DaVinci was to deposit the remaining installment payments ($325,000) into an escrow account.<span>\u00a0<\/span>DaVinci then filed this lawsuit alleging fraud and breach of contract.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robertkreisman.com\/injury-lawyer\/cook-county-jury-verdict-for-950000-in-fraud-and-breach-of-contract-case-davinci-graphics-v-environomics-communications-inc-et-al\/#more-1564\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The plaintiff, DaVinci Graphics, entered into a purchase agreement in 2009 to buy the Brownfield News magazine for $425,000.\u00a0 The sellers were the defendants in this case.\u00a0As part of the deal, DaVinci paid $100,000 up front with the remainder of the purchase price to be paid in installments.
